Certified Renovators are responsible for documenting the training of their workers. EPA requires that certification be in place by April 22, 2010.
The 8-hour class, exam, and certification, can be completed in one day, at a convenient central-Mass location.
Who should take Lead Safe Training Class?
Anyone disturbing more than 6 sq. ft. (Interior) & 20 sq. ft. (Exterior) of painted surface Working in residential homes, apartments, child care facilities and schools built pre-1978

Day-Long EPA Lead Safety Training and Testing.
This EPA Lead Safety certification course was developed by the federal agency in collaboration with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Devel-opment (HUD) to train Renovation, Repair, and Painting (RRP) contractors on how to work safely in housing with lead-based paint and comply with EPA’s Renovation, Repair, and Painting Rule, and HUD’s Lead Safe Housing Rule.
EPA Lead Safe Training Class sizes will be limited, and registrations taken on a space-available basis.
