The EPA has allowed the 4-hour Lead Renovator RRP Refresher Training to be taken fully ONLINE each alternate renewal period. When taken online, the EPA Lead RRP Refresher course online is valid for three years, so the next refresher training course you take will have to be taken in person. EPA Lead Refresher training courses taken in person are valid for five years.
In the event that you work in any one of the following states, you are mandated to take the course in person: AL, DE, GA, IA, KS, MA, MS, NC, OK, OR, RI, UT, WA or WI
For those who have already completed the 8-hour EPA Lead RRP Initial Certification course in fulfillment with the Renovation, Repair, and Painting (RRP) Rule, this 4-hour EPA Lead RRP Refresher Course is needed to renew your Lead-Safe Renovator Certification. This program is now approved by the EPA to be 100% online, which means you are able to renew your lead-safe certification from the comfort and ease of your own home!
Our EPA RRP Lead refresher courses are delivered by experienced instructors, which update you on all current information that you may need to successfully and safely perform Lead Safe RRP work in the field. This program is accepted for purposes of certification under Section 402 of TSCA.
The EPA Lead Renovator, Repair, and Painting Rule
Effective April 22, 2010, anybody who carries out renovations, repairs, or painting in pre-1978 homes or child-occupied facilities should be EPA Lead Safe Certified. Individuals and firms that are not certified could face charges of up to $37,500 each day.
Why Take The EPA Lead RRP Refresher Course Online?
The EPA allows renovators to receive their certification through the RRP refresher course without hands-on training, for every other certification. When a renovator takes the EPA Lead RRP Refresher course online, their following refresher training will need to include hands-on training.
