Lead Paint Removal Training and Testing
The EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) has brought out a new lead paint rule that takes effect April 22, 2010. This new regulation is addressed the RRP (Renovation, Repair, and Painting) rule and it enforces to contractors, landowners and others who disturb or repair lead-based paint in pre-1978 housing, childcare facilities, and even schools.
The RRP rule has a couple of crucial differences. It asks completion of an 8-hour training course, pre- and post-work acknowledges to residents and owners, and a cleaning verification process. You are able to learn more about the RRP rule here.
Check the EPA lead registration link above to get trained as Certified Renovator.
If you rent, own or work in a construction built before 1978, risks are you are being exposed to lead.
