Are you doing renovation, repair or painting a dwelling, child care facility or school constructed prior to 1978?

Starting April 22, 2010, federal law asks that contractors doing renovation, repair and painting (RRP) projects that disturb more than 6 sq. ft. of paint in dwellings, child care facilities, and schools established prior to 1978 must be certified and trained to follow particular work practices to avoid lead contamination. After December 31st 2010, The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) will start giving fines to those who are not certified!
