EPA Lead-based Paint Certification Training

EPA Lead-based Paint Certification Training

The US Environmental Protection Agency’s Renovation, Repair and Painting (EPA’s RRP Rule) got in full effect and enforceable after April 22, 2010.

The RRP Rule requirements will enforce to all “renovations” in buildings prior 1978 where lead-based paint will be disturbed by Renovation, Repair and Painting activities. Legal entities executing this task will have to apply to EPA and take EPA Lead-based Paint Training Program to become Certified Renovation Firms. In addition, the firms’ employees will have to be developed as “Certified Renovators” by EPA-accredited training providers or take in on-the-job (OJT) training in lead-safe work practices from Certified Renovators.
